Shoogle Tide - poetry

Shoogle Tide - Earlyworks Press
Plant and planet, May queen and Eurovision wannabees, eclipses and omens in time and tide and a plethora of other current issues are given a good shake by poets such as Nigel Humphries, Margaret Eddershaw, Sylvia Oldroyd and Phil Powley.

misfit mirror Misfit Mirror - Earlyworks Press
Fish for eternity with Maxine Linnell or step between russet folds with Margaret Eddershaw. See your face fragmented in Sarah James' mirror or drink warm champagne in St James' Park with Mariyln Francis. Poetry, micro-fiction and a final, reflective tale by Anne Ayres make up this sparkling, eclectic collection.
Red Silk Slippers Poems Red Silk Slippers - Marilyn Francis
'It's only a pack of cards,' says Alice, but all is not what it seems in this White Rabbit world of dreams. Turn the pages and two old birds in owlish specs peep back from the depths of the floral chintz, a man fries an egg in the road somewhere off Oxford Street, and cows big as wardrobes dare you to cross. As surreal as a de Chirico creation perhaps, but this is an accessible, welcoming book of real-world poems.
Table Manners Table Manners for Little Folks - Sue Watkin
Table Manners For Little Folks was found in a hand-written book of verse. An item nearby in the book is dated 1870 so I guess that this verse was written around the same time. I say "written", but of course the unknown writer of the verse in my book is unlikely to have been the original author of the verse. There is a different version on the web called "Table Rules for Little Folk".
