Leslie Ann Bosher

Leslie Ann is a devoted Anglophile. Holding duel citizenship, American and British. Having travelled extensively from Australia to Nepal, Russia to Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan to Morocco she has learned how to pitch humorous quips and accurate observations about her environs, infusing her stories with anecdotes distilled over the years. In a serendipitous move she left the paving stones of London for the green pastures of the English countryside, an area no less strange than many of the countries she has visited.

What inspired you to write?

My book began life as a series of magazine articles and a collection of emails sent to American friends about life in England. Over a period of time this developed into a manuscript. The story is a snapshot in time about country life. I am not so arrogant as to think 'the world' is a better place for my having written a book but I do think England stands proud in my effort.

  5. Enjoy the process!

Any final words of wisdom?

Research your category, your competitors and those books that are successful and more importantly authors who are under contract to write sequels. It is like following the bird seed trail in the forest to the end. If you do that you will find your market but you must do your homework first.
